Description:
This recording is an introduction to Futurism, a modernist literary, musical and artistic movement born shortly before the First World War. Through some of its members and its brutal aesthetic, fascinated by violence, the Italian Futurist movement was close to the Fascist movement from its beginnings in 1919. After the latter came to power in 1922, Futurist artists such as Filippo Tommaso Marinetti worked for the regime, contributing to its events and cultural policies. Here, they are involved in the Fascist education of Italian children.
